submitting art

the best way to submit images to this group is to go to your gallery, pic a deviation, and use the add to group function to the right hand side. when you add it to the group be sure to pick the right catagory for the image so it apears in the right place.

Please dont shove things into the featured area, this is reserved for exceptional stuff.

when submitting to the favourites catagory it should ideally be someone elses work you are submitting from your favourites, but you can submit anything you think is related to mini making, from inspirational concept art to greens and tutorials. there are catagories so please try to use them, otherwise the catagory will just fill up super fast.

please pick your best work to submit, dont just dump your entire gallery in here, this is just a showcase to draw people to your own gallery, be picky ;)

cheers all :D
happy submitting!

Thanks for inviting me. When I have some of the new works I am doing, and ones I am going to be doing, done or at least photographed in progress I shall post them.
I have to say though that I am extremely envious of you having the software and connections to do the 3D casting that you are doing. I have known about the process since it was originally developed for medical purposes and even then I thought 'WOW! They could use that to make miniatures.' Then when larger miniature manufacturers began using it I knew the dawn of a new era in gaming was here but I am pleased to see that it has become available to smaller, independent producers like yourself. The works you have created and the ones in progress I will most definitely be seeking to purchase for my own collections in the near future.

cool, glad you like them. I can only afford the printing because of a sponsorship, otherwise I would be stuffed ;) the software is expensive too, no two ways to look at it. I use blender, which is free, for making the primatives, and zbrush for the sculpting, but zbrush is pricy... but oooh so fantastic to use..

Thanks for the invite, however I'm not really actually doing minature production.

With two exceptions, none of my models are actually sculpted. Although several of them are converted, Most of the time all I actually do is paint the models assembled from kits.

So yes, I don't think I'm actually fitting into this group ^^;

Heh well, it's hard to say I guess. Converting and sculpting are quite different to me cause sculpting means making stuff from putty/clay :D

My skills lie in converting. which is doing stuff to existing models/parts of them.

well I guess I invited you because I thought you had something to offer a group like this and would gain something too, my experience of conversion is that its not easy and requires some sculpting skills to make it look good, which is what you do ;)
